The high-explosive anti-tank multi-purpose(HEAT-MP) warheads are effective against tanks and light armored vehicles andfeature improved fragmentation (prefabricated fragments), blast, and fuzing.This provides the ammunition with an overall reasonable anti-armor,anti-personnel, and material effect, allowing it to be used instead ofconventional high-explosive rounds against both infantry and other battlefieldtargets. This reduces the number of warheads that need to be carried out fordifferent roles.
